Job Summary

Providing effective telephonic interpreting services, the independent contractor Remote Quechua Interpreter will handle on-demand calls to facilitate communication for the Limited English Proficient community while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Provide effective telephonic remote interpreting services
• Answer inbound calls in a timely manner
• Adhere to the Code of Professional Conduct and maintain confidentiality

Required qualifications

• Full fluency in both English and Quechua
• Proficiency with technology, including web-based platforms and Microsoft Word
• A quiet, secure interpreting space free from outside noise
• 1+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred
• Industry-specific certifications or training preferred (e.g., CMI, CCHI, Bridging the Gap)
