Job Summary

Seeking U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents, the part-time Remote Rare Language Interpreter will provide interpretation services for EOIR assignments in specific rare languages via Webex or telephone.

Key responsibilities

• Provide remote interpretation services for U.S. Department of Justice assignments
• Utilize Webex or telephone platforms for effective communication
• Collaborate with clients to ensure accurate and culturally relevant interpretation

Required qualifications

• Fluency in one of the specified rare languages (e.g., Shuar, Achuar-Shiwiar, Magar)
• U.S. citizenship or legal permanent residency
• Physical presence in the U.S. during the interpretation process
• Experience in interpretation or a related field is preferred
• Ability to work remotely and manage time effectively
