Job Summary

A consulting company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Region IV Head Start Health Specialist.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Aggregating and analyzing state and regional health data from a variety of sources
  • Providing training on topics related to health and mental health
  • Participating in case conferences about individual grantees

Position Requirements Include:

  • Ability to travel to states within the region
  • Minimum of a BA or a BS, in public health, mental health, health education, or related field
  • 5 years’ experience related to health services in a Head Start/Early Head Start program
  • Ability to help grantees prioritize health goals and objectives
  • Experience addressing the health needs of children from diverse backgrounds
  • Experience facilitating forums and meetings of diverse stakeholder groups
