Job Summary
A legal consulting firm is filling a position for a Remote Regulatory Legal Counsel.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Providing regulatory compliance and consumer protection-related guidance on matters pertaining to in-home and repair services
- Analyzing and staying current with local, state, and federal laws, regulations for insurance, service contracts, and warranty
- Managing research projects and databases to ensure ongoing compliance
Position Requirements Include:
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and admission to the bar plus 5+ years of relevant experience
- Demonstrates the ability to effectively understand, consider and address the client or business while mitigating risk exposure
- Must possess strong judgment, confidence, collaborative problem-solving skills, and the ability to spot potential issues quickly
- Must be able to independently handle a variety and number of legal matters under the supervision of more experienced legal counsel
- Highly organized and driven to thoroughly understand the issue and the possible implications of legal guidance
- Must be able to identify early signs of conflict and get to the essence of problems to resolve issues before they escalate to a conflict
