Job Summary
A life insurance company is seeking a Remote Reporting and Data Analytics Lead.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Defining and owning KPIs to track company-level performance and collaborate with Strategic Finance and Business Operations to incorporate such concepts into our financial planning and forecasting
- Collaborating with Data to maintain data infrastructure and data models, including developing viewpoints on future improvements and modifications to ensure consistency and reduce redundancy
- Translating data into understanding payments-related information such as invoices, payments, refunds, revenue recognition, and policy status to optimize policy management and further empower our Accounting and Policy Administration teams
Skills and Requirements Include:
- 5+ years of experience in data science, data analytics, business intelligence, or other analytically-intensive roles at well-established firms or high-growth tech startups
- Expert knowledge of SQL and proficiency in a scripting language such as Python or R
- Expertise with tools used for data analysis, visualization, and dashboarding, such as Tableau and Excel
- Demonstrated strong product and/or business sense
- Proven ability to flex between high-level strategic thinking and deep-dive analytical problem solving
- Ability to champion data and analytics documentation and processes, including data dictionaries, data governance, and access controls
