Remote Research and Development Senior Data Scientist

Job Summary

A provider of wellness products is seeking a Remote Research and Development Senior Data Scientist.

Must be able to:

• Analyze biological data in collaboration with Lab Scientists
• Lead the design, implementation and release of bioinformatic workflows
• Be a partner to Lab Scientists for the design and development of experiments

Required Skills:

• PhD in Statistics, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or related field
• 5+ years developing in Python and/or R, comfortable with Linux
• Solid knowledge of statistical techniques, e.g., EDA, regression analysis, hypothesis testing and ML methods
• Experience working in cloud computing environment (e.g., AWS) and containerization (e.g., Docker)
• Comfortable in an environment where your work is self-directed
• Comfort and extensive experience working in cross-functional teams
