Job Summary

A residential loan company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Residential Mortgage Loan Underwriter in San Luis Obispo.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Reviewing and auditing files for compliance
  • Underwriting mortgage loans - minimum 2 per day
  • Answering scenario and qualification questions from the sales staff

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • 3-5 Years recent experience FNMA/FHLMC Underwriting
  • Current DE Underwriter designation/CHUMS ID
  • Must be up to date on current underwriting guidelines
  • Proficient in Ellie Mae Encompass, FNMA DU, Freddie Mac LPA, Excel, Word, Outlook and Gmail
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong attention to detail
