Job Summary
A health insurance company is in need of a Remote Rheumatology Appeals Medical Director.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Support clinicians to ensure timely responses to members/providers
- Provide guidance for clinical operational aspects of a program
- Conduct peer-to-peer clinical appeal case reviews
Qualifications for this position include:
- M.D. or D.O.
- Board certification in Rheumatology approved by the ABMS
- Possess an active unrestricted medical license to practice medicine where applicable
- 10 years of clinical experience or any combination of equivalent education and experience
