Job Summary
A company providing integrated information technology solutions is in need of a Remote Risk Adjustment Coder in Atlanta.
Must be able to:
- Assign numeric diagnostic codes in medical records for symptoms, diseases, operations and treatment
- Accurately validate and abstract diagnosis codes from provider documentation and medical records
- Analyze and translate medical and clinical diagnoses, procedures, injuries, or illnesses into designated numerical codes, adhering to the CMS Risk Adjustment Models
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Ability to travel to attend two company summits per year in various locations
- AAPC or AHIMA Certification (CPC, CRC, CCS)
- Minimum 1-year coding experience
- Medicare Risk Adjustment experience
- ICD-10-CM proficient
- Ability to follow state and federal regulations as well as internal policies and guidelines while analyzing coding information and medical records
