Job Summary
A non-profit managed care organization is filling a position for a Remote Risk Adjustment Medical Coding Specialist in Seattle.
Must be able to:
- Perform coding quality audits of provider and vendor documentation of ICD-9 and ICD-10 codes
- Prepare a written report of all significant audit findings
- Design and implement process for continual review of coding documentation and coding improvement
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and highly relevant experience
- AHIMA and CCS or AAPC and CPC or Certified Professional Coder – CPC-H
- Minimum 3 years combined experience performing diagnosis coding AND conducting documentation and coding audits
- Complete and successfully pass a criminal background check
- Has not been sanctioned or excluded from participation in federal or state healthcare programs
