Remote Risk Mitigation Analyst
Job Summary
Supporting the VA ESOM contract, the full-time Remote Risk Mitigation Analyst will identify, document, and track non-cyber risks affecting application recovery while providing analytical and coordination support to technical staff in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and review contingency plans, system diagrams, and recovery requirements
- Assist in identifying various risks related to processes, staffing, and technology dependencies
- Maintain a risk and corrective action register, monitoring remediation progress and escalating overdue actions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, electronics engineering, or a related technical discipline
- 5 years of relevant experience, with the option to substitute 8 years of additional experience for education
- Experience in technology risk, operational resilience, or disaster recovery
- Knowledge of risk assessment and corrective action tracking
- Ability to read technical plans and summarize recovery risks accurately
