Job Summary

An accounting and financial consulting services firm has an open position for a Remote SaaS Assistant Controller in Houston.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Performing month-end, quarter-end and year-end reconciliations and revenue accounting close tasks for revenue related accounts
  • Reviewing customer contract(s) and identifying contract elements to account for
  • Maintaining accurate revenue recognition models. Communicating and educating on revenue recognition requirements

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required, emphasis in accounting highly preferred. CPA certification a plus
  • 3+ years of public and private accounting work experience. Big 4 experience is a plus
  • Operational accounting experience in a growing SAAS technology business
  • Excellent written and oral communication, team player, detail oriented and sound organizational skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience with SAP by Design and Zuora
