Remote Sales Tax Accountant

Job Summary

A company is looking for a part-time eCommerce sales tax accountant.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and transmit accurate sales and use tax returns to jurisdictions
• Manage state registrations and de-registrations, and reconcile payments
• Proactively communicate with clients to resolve sales tax questions and concerns

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in accounting
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
• Familiarity with QuickBooks and state/federal sales tax laws
• Experience with sales tax software (e.g., Avalara, TaxJar) is a plus
• Strong technology skills with the ability to learn new programs easily
