Job Summary

A technology and informatics firm is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Scientific Data Software Engineer.

Must be able to:

  • Enhance and sustain scientific data by upscaling metadata, semantically linking datasets
  • Touch everything from front-end code to our high performance computing infrastructure
  • Create powerful visualizations, and applying advanced analysis techniques

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Strong experience with modern front-end development and web frameworks
  • Strong experience in full-stack web application development, including database design, architecture, services, and APIs
  • Experience with the data science / scientific Python stack
  • Experience working as a member of a software engineering team
  • Experience working with data from the physical or biological sciences
