Job Summary
A defense company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Scientific Peer Review Officer.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Determining reviewer expertise required for the panel
- Recruiting reviewers who are generally strong and competent
- Assigning applications/proposals to reviewers
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Ability to travel to client sites and peer review meetings (typically a 3-4 day meeting at min 1 time per year)
- MD and/or PhD
- 5+ years of work experience after postdoctoral work
- Ability to perform quality control checking of reviewer critiques
- Ability to provide appropriate guidance and instruction to reviewers
- Ability to monitor submission timeline and quality of draft critiques
