Job Summary

A research company has an open position for a Remote Scientific Publishing Application Leader.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Develop novel applications and tools in the field of scientific publishing and preprinting
  • Communicate with external partners and clients in order to facilitate continued business development
  • Perform product, architectural, and UX/UI reviews of existing and new solutions

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, or Neuroscience, or related field or foreign equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in scientific publishing environment in the field
  • 2 years of experience in PHP and Javascript programming languages
  • 2 years of experience in interfacing (data extraction and analysis)
  • 2 years’ experience in machine learning analysis of scientific publications and under-consideration manuscripts
  • Knowledge of at least 2 of the following: Editorial Manager, EJPress, ScholarOne, and/or Open Journal Systems
