Job Summary
A social media company that depends on GPS functionality of mobile networks or other GPS-enabled devices to record activities is seeking a Remote Security Engineering Manager.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Leading a team of engineers responsible for the security of company’s production infrastructure and services
- Partnering with engineering, legal, data, trust & safety, and IT teams to identify and deliver impactful improvements to company’s security posture
- Working closely with other engineering leaders on team-wide initiatives such as hiring, the intern program, and technology vision

- Experience in leading a team of engineers and supporting their career development
- Experience in assessing and prioritizing risks across the security landscape
- Experience in responding to, investigating, and resolving security-related incidents with Internet-facing infrastructure and applications
- Experience working with distributed systems running in a public cloud
