Job Summary
A technology company is filling a position for a Remote Senior Application Programming Interface Backend Engineer.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Designing, building and testing with simplicity and scalability in mind
- Utilizing a deep understanding of the web
- Reporting to the Director of Web and Mobile Applications
Qualifications for this position include:
- 5+ years of industry experience building and scaling APIs and web backends
- Deep experience with Python, Django, and Django Rest Framework
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases
- Experience scaling high-availability backend systems and databases
- Experience with containerized infrastructure and deployment pipelines
- An understanding and appreciation for application performance monitoring and profiling tools
- A desire to define, document and teach backend engineering standards
