Job Summary

A health care provider is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Senior Authorization Specialist in Pittsburgh.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Reviewing insurance payments and remittance advice documents for proper processing/payment of authorization claims
• Auditing authorization related data errors and/or completing retro-authorizations
• Researching denials by interpreting the explanation of benefits or remittance codes

Qualifications Include:

• High School diploma or equivalent with 4 years working experience in a medical environment
• Completion of a medical terminology course (or equivalent) OR
• 3 years of experience working with the medical field required
• Knowledge and interpretation of medical terminology, ICD, and CPT codes
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to analyze data and use independent judgment
