Job Summary

A digital automotive marketplace has a current position open for a Remote Senior Automotive Ruby on Rails Software Engineer.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Developing high performance and scalable APIs to drive our websites, mobile apps, and partner integrations
  • Monitoring and testing
  • Understanding how Javascript frameworks, Mobile apps, and other clients might interact with APIs

Required Skills:

  • Experience using Ruby on Rails in a production environment
  • Experience using a relational database system (we use Postgres)
  • Experience with modern distributed version control such as Git or Mercurial
  • Strong desire to learn and grow
  • Solid grasp of software engineering fundamentals and their practical application
  • Deep understanding of API design
