Job Summary
The Opportunity:
GrowthDay is seeking a Backend Developer who is passionate about the development of all server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database. You'll be delivering software at a high velocity and improving the GrowthDay platform every single day.
What You Will Do In This Role:
Overall technical lead for multiple features/projects within the Growthday Platform
Architect efficient and reusable back end solutions that solve complex business challenges.
Work end-to-end with the product team to build features that are best in class user experiences
Review Requirements and help form information architecture adding insight at the planning stage
Work with the QA team to create test cases that ensure the migration of working error-free code
Identify and resolve performance and scalability issues
Work with the marketing team and data analytics teams to implement tagging strategies for marketing campaigns.
Iterate on best practices to increase the quality & velocity of deployments
Sustain and improve the process of knowledge sharing throughout the engineering team
You Are What We Are Looking For If:
You have 7+ years of Back End Development experience
2+ years experience leading small teams across multiple projects
Production level experience using Java And Spring Framework
You possess expert level JAVA experience with the Spring boot framework
You show mastery of creating, optimizing and debugging RESTful JSON API
You have production experience with MongoDB/ RDBMS including horizontal scaling and redundancy
Microservice Architecture/ Event Driven Architecture
Oauth/ OpenId protocol
Expert level experience with Git version control
Strong understanding of the SDLC and Scrum methodology
Production experience with test driven development libraries and frameworks
Proven track record of developing customer-centric, product-focused, marketing orientated insights from rich and complex data sets.
You have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Nice to have:
Experience with Keycloak
Experience Caching with Redis/Memcache
AWS Basics Basic DevOps Cycle
Basic understanding of any JavaScript framework
