An educational technology company is filling a position for a Remote Senior Backend Engineer.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Building and innovating the back-end service infrastructure that enables the company to scale the AI language coaching
- Transforming abstract ideas specifications into actionable engineering tasks.
- Improving the performance, stability and reliability of backend services
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent working experience
- 5+ years of server-side coding or full-stack development in Python
- Experience with large-scale service architectures, distributed systems, and micro-services
- Hands-on experience with design, development, performance, scaling, troubleshooting, and live support of server applications
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership
- Reliably drives work to completion. Emphasis on both timeliness and quality
