Job Summary
A book publishing and subscription company has a current position open for a Remote Senior Backend Engineer in Austin.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Build real-time, cloud-based web services and APIs that serve as the backbone for reliable/scalable applications
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineers on both ends of the spectrum & Quality Assurance to spec-out & build new endpoints
- Implement and document engineering processes and standards
Skills and Requirements Include:
- 5+ years experience defining and leading large-scale web application server architecture initiatives
- Documented experience building high-throughput/high-volume data pipelines
- Extensive experience/knowledge of real-time messaging service platforms at-scale
- Industry leading skills in API and Data Model design
- Ability to efficiently communicate architectural perspectives and monitor implementations across internal teams
- Track record of successful delivery in an agile environment
