Job Summary

A family networking app is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Senior Backend Software Engineer.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Build services in Java, Scala and PHP
  • Conduct technical and code reviews and approve pull requests
  • Take specs and translate them into reality

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience required
  • Comfortable with the uncertainty of working with new technologies
  • Agile software development experience
  • A desire to bring innovative solutions to the challenges of scaling the API and platform
  • Be proficient in at least two of these languages: Java, Scala and PHP, Python, and Go
  • Excellent understanding of data stores, distributed systems, data modeling
