Job Summary

A developer of genetics and biology technology is seeking a Remote Senior Bioinformatics Scientist.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Serving as the primary contributor for scientific collaborations
  • Publishing methods and findings to the benefit of the wider genetics community
  • Aiding in the validation of new tools and algorithms

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Ability to travel to San Diego once per quarter when the company is back onsite
  • Expertise in building and/or implementing nucleic acid sequence databases/analysis tools
  • Masters degree in computer science, statistical genetics, bioinformatics or computational biology
  • 7+ years of related experience
  • Ability to present complex scientific ideas to clinical and scientific audiences
  • Strong record of successful delivery of complex scientific projects
