Job Summary

A software development company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Senior Cloud Platform Services Principal Engineer.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Architecting, designing, developing, maintaining & supporting Platform-as-a-Service frameworks, tools, services & libraries
  • Building automation tools & frameworks for on-demand deployment environments, application definition, application promotion, etc
  • Developing self-service capabilities for platform components & transparent platform-level features to address cross-cutting concerns

Skills and Requirements Include:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • 12+ Years of professional software engineering experience in building large-scale distributed systems
  • Strong hands-on experience in developing applications in one or more language stacks: Java, Python, Go
  • Strong experience in building platform-level shared libraries, frameworks, components, tools and services
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, service-oriented architectures, microservices and design patterns
