Remote Senior Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Coder - Part Time - Days - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviews medical documentation to accurately assign ICD-10-CM/PCS and MSDRG codes
• Verifies assignment of MSDRG, MCC/CCs, HACs, and PSIs based on documentation
• Submits physician queries for unclear medical documentation following AHIMA guidelines

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Coding Certification Program (AHIMA or AAPC) or relevant courses
• 2 years of ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT coding experience or recent graduates from an AHIMA certified HIM program
• Associates or bachelor's degree in HIM or related healthcare field preferred
• At least one active certification (RHIA/RHIT/CCS) or other credential in a health-related field preferred
