Job Summary

A staffing and recruitment agency is filling a position for a Remote Senior Data Engineer.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Build and optimize the data warehouse to allow for report generation and analytics
  • Design, build and maintain the data pipeline for ingress and egress of location-based data
  • Assemble large, complex data sets that meet business requirements

Required Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge and experience with big data technologies: Spark, Hive, Mad/Reduce, Hadoop
  • Extensive experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages (Python)
  • Experience with UNIX/Linux including basic commands and shell scripting
  • Advanced knowledge of AWS cloud services: EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift, S3, Athena
