Job Summary

A health and wellness technology company has a current position open for a Remote Senior Database Administrator.

Must be able to:

  • Act as a database design and management expert to manage the creation of operational and analytic databases
  • Discuss and implement the goals in data modeling and database administration
  • Analyze the existing data models and databases to improve them

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in relational database administration with at least 3 years in Postgres including latest versions
  • 3+ years of experience in data warehousing with Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Teradata, SQL Server DW or similar\
  • Proven very strong knowledge and experience with SQL and relational databases including stored procedures, data pipelines and ETL tools and techniques
  • Demonstrated knowledge of database clustering for high scalability
  • Proven solid understanding of non-relational structures like JSON, text, XML and their use in relational databases
