Job Summary

A technology company is seeking a Remote Senior Database Administrator and Platform Engineer.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Planning, allocating, installing, and configureing database servers
  • Designing, building, maintaining database monitoring solutions for 100's of databases
  • Providing escalation support, troubleshooting and resolution assistance

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business
  • 8+ years managing Oracle database technologies and in a highly available enterprise operation is required
  • Certification in one or more database platforms is preferred
  • 2+ years of recent project and support level experience working with MySQL is preferred
  • Ability to plan and execute tasks related to maintenance, upgrades, and failovers
