Job Summary

An innovation company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Senior Database Administrator in Austin.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Providing support of major SQL Server and Oracle database management systems
  • Working the third shift from 11:30 p.m. – 07:30 a.m. on Sundays through Thursdays
  • Providing support in the form of advice and troubleshooting

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Working onsite for the first two months
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or 8 years of additional experience in lieu of education
  • 5 years of experience in all company-required technologies
  • Understanding of Oracle Database Architecture and SQL Server
  • RAC experience
  • Installation, configuration and upgrading Database experience
  • Instance level and application level tuning Backup/Recovery experience
  • Troubleshooting performance issues
