Job Summary
A cyber security company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Senior Detection and Monitoring Operations Analyst.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Creating and following appropriate pre-defined procedures to further investigate security events
- Performing monitoring, research, assessment and analysis on all notable security events from a variety of technologies
- Participating in routine compliance and control monitoring and assist in creation of new monitoring capabilities as controls evolve
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- 3 to 6 years of experience as a Security Administrator or equivalent knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information security or related discipline is required or equivalent work experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to see things through the customer's eyes
- Must have knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, network analysis, and the OSI framework
- Must have knowledge of security related technologies including firewalls, intrusion detection systems and endpoint security tools
- Must have understanding of Incident Response framework, root cause analysis
