Job Purpose and Overview
Appfire is looking for a talented Sr Director of Market and Competitive Analysis to lead market analysis and competitive insight for our expanding portfolio of apps. Your mission is to provide strategic direction for the Appfire portfolio, including market and competitive analysis as well as category direction.
Key Accountabilities:
+ Market Analysis - conduct primary/secondary market analysis for the markets, categories and applications in which we operate as well as adjacent categories
+ Customer Needs - coordinate or conduct customer interviews as needed, including potential operation of customer advisory boards for select opportunities
+ Competitive Analysis - perform primary/secondary competitive assessments and maintain the Appfire category definitions and app classifications
+ Build/Buy/Partner Evaluation - provide recommendations for key capabilities across the portfolio, including support of potential M&A opportunities
+ Business Case Creation - build financial models to evaluate identified opportunities
+ Execution support - Work with teams and leadership to create executable plans in support of recommended strategies
About You:
+ Bachelor's degree, master's degree preferred
+ Eight (8)+ years of Research, Market Insights, Product Management or commensurate experience
+ Five (5)+ years of Technology Industry experience, preferably working in XaaS consumption models
+ Ability to gather, analyze and summarize competitive business, technical and financial data
+ Ability to present compelling stories at all levels of the organization, from product teams to executive leadership
