Job Summary

In this role, you will be an integral member of the accounting team and drive the stock-based compensation accounting and reporting for all employee and non-employee plans. This team member will assist in the day-to-day administration of our employee equity programs and assist in continuing to scale our equity compensation plans as the company grows. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, you will also support the month-end close, quarterly and annual SEC reporting, and internal analysis and reporting processes.
The individual will work closely with various parties including employees, real estate agents/brokers, stock plan services, HR, legal, transfer agent, and internal and external auditors. This is a highly visible position and requires a focus on employee success and the ability to effectively interact, communicate, and present ideas and concepts clearly with multiple departments and to all levels within the organization, including senior management.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for determining the fair value and expense of stock-based compensation for all equity plans across all legal entities
Review stock option and other award grants, forfeitures, and exercises and releases on a timely basis for all employees and non-employees (agents/brokers)
Prepare monthly stock-based compensation entries and reconciliations
Assist the accounting team with monthly close duties (including journal entries and account reconciliations), consolidations, and post-close analytics
Supports accounting department enhancement efforts to ensure and/or improve data integrity, accuracy, and process efficiency across departments and entity-wide
Assist Stock Plan Services Administrator and Director, Accounting and Reporting on equity plan management and monitoring
Support the technical accounting aspects of stock-based compensation
Prepare equity roll-forward and support preparation of footnote disclosures in Forms 10-Q/K
Assists with the preparation of the annual proxy statement, including coordinating with HR and payroll for information
Assists with section 16 reporting and maintains a detailed holdings roll-forward for all section 16 filers
Assists with maintaining effective relationships with internal business areas to understand accounting transactions and processes
Coordinate with the tax team on any tax issues related to stock-based compensation
Work closely with cross functional leaders of HR, Legal, FP&A, and other business partners
Ensure that internal controls and procedures are followed to satisfy periodic review of compliance with SOX
Assist in accounting and finance system implementation projects
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or similar preferred with 5+ years of progressive experience and increasing level of responsibility
Experience:
CPA required
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, specifically ASC 718, ASC 505, and ASC 480
International operations experience particularly around taxation, compliance, and reporting would be a huge plus
Understanding of SOX and sound internal controls
Experience in stock administration using Solium Shareworks a plus
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of materials and information
Able to multi-task, prioritize, and work under tight deadlines
Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to details required
Strong organizational skills, work ethic, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
