Job Summary
A gaming platform has a current position open for a Remote Senior Gaming Technical Artist.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Designing, testing, and maintaining character and creature rig setups in Maya
- Creating scripts and custom tools to optimize the character creation pipeline
- Helping to tackle any art related bugs, working closely with the character team.
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Experience shipping a game in a major engine such as Unreal.
- Intermediate skills with 3D modeling, rigging, and UV texturing with professional 3D software
- Experience writing tools for artists in Python, MEL, or a specific scripting language
- Understanding of optimizing 3D assets for memory and performance
- Experience creating materials for Unreal and strong understanding of shaders and light and rendering models
