Job Summary
A healthcare provider is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Senior Inpatient Coder.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Reviewing medical records for the determination of accurate assignment of all documented diagnoses and procedures
- Demonstrating ability to achieve accuracy and consistency in the selection of principal and secondary diagnoses
- Meeting and/or exceeding Conifer’s coding productivity guidelines
Position Requirements Include:
- Must be able to travel nationally as needed, not to exceed 10%
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information, Nursing, or other related field, or formal coding classes completed
- Three to five years’ experience performing medical record coding in acute care setting required
- Required: AHIMA or AAPC approved credential
- Attends mandatory coding seminars on annual basis
- All other requirements necessary for this position
