Job Summary

A healthcare provider is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Senior Inpatient Coder.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Reviewing medical records for the determination of accurate assignment of all documented diagnoses and procedures
  • Demonstrating ability to achieve accuracy and consistency in the selection of principal and secondary diagnoses
  • Meeting and/or exceeding Conifer’s coding productivity guidelines

Position Requirements Include:

  • Must be able to travel nationally as needed, not to exceed 10%
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information, Nursing, or other related field, or formal coding classes completed
  • Three to five years’ experience performing medical record coding in acute care setting required
  • Required: AHIMA or AAPC approved credential
  • Attends mandatory coding seminars on annual basis
  • All other requirements necessary for this position
