Job Summary

A web platform is in need of a Remote Senior Java Engineer.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Fixing bugs and implementing new features in PrestoDB
  • Reviewing pull requests and issues
  • Responding to community questions in github and the PrestoDB Slack community

Skills and Requirements Include:

  • 7+ years of software development experience
  • Deep understanding of Java software development
  • Experience with several relational database and NoSQL database technologies
  • Experience with distributed computing using Spark, Hadoop, or similar technologies
  • Experience with Maven and packaging of Java software
  • Demonstrated capability to quickly learn and work with new technologies and environments
