Job Summary
A financial services institution is filling a position for a Remote Senior Life Underwriter.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Appraising and underwriting individual life applications to assess mortality risk within company guidelines
- Supporting an underwriting authority limit up to $3M
- Mentoring/development of less experienced underwriters
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years individual life underwriting experience
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experiences
- Professional designation, or significant progress towards
- Proven advanced technical underwriting knowledge and risk assessment
- Demonstrated excellent negotiating and decision-making skills
- Ability to achieve strong service results: quality, productivity, and cycle time
