Job Summary

A large mutual life insurance company is seeking a Remote Senior Linked Benefits Underwriter Associate.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Evaluating insurance applications with a focus on quality, timeliness, and productivity
• Effectively reviewing and responding to appealed decisions, reinstatements, and plan change requests
• Answering inquiries regarding eligibility, policies, underwriting guidelines, and compliance procedures

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

• Minimum of 3+ years Life, LTC, or Linked Benefit Product underwriting experience including working with agents
• Strong medical and financial underwriting knowledge
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred, BS, RN, or equivalent insurance industry experience
• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient computer and time management skills
• Must have good critical thinking skills and the ability to exercise judgement independently
