Job Summary
A large mutual life insurance company is seeking a Remote Senior Linked Benefits Underwriter Associate.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Evaluating insurance applications with a focus on quality, timeliness, and productivity
- Effectively reviewing and responding to appealed decisions, reinstatements, and plan change requests
- Answering inquiries regarding eligibility, policies, underwriting guidelines, and compliance procedures
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Minimum of 3+ years Life, LTC, or Linked Benefit Product underwriting experience including working with agents
- Strong medical and financial underwriting knowledge
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred, BS, RN, or equivalent insurance industry experience
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient computer and time management skills
- Must have good critical thinking skills and the ability to exercise judgement independently
