Job Summary
An IT staffing and recruiting agency has a current position open for a Remote Senior Linux Engineer.
Must be able to:
- Plan, test, and implement changes to system configuration and software settings to support a variety of software and operations teams
- Plan, test, and implement changes to the global systems management infrastructure
- Design, implement, extend, and maintain the tooling that automates the key Linux infrastructure operations
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- 8-10 years related experience
- Deep understanding of the Linux Kernel (scheduling, networking, I/O, monitoring)
- Strong project management capabilities
- Solid background in configuration management (puppet/salt, build RPMs, deploy updates)
