Job Summary
An aerospace engineering company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Remote Senior Loads and Dynamics Engineer.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Acting as a Loads & Dynamics Engineer for a novel type of aircraft development targeting the autonomous UAM market
- Taking part in assessing aircraft aeroelastic stability margins and generate static and dynamic external loads
- Helping support problem solving activities such as determining aeroelastic stability margins and whirl flutter
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or another relevant discipline
- 5+ years of experience performing aeroelastic analysis such as flutter, whirl flutter and control surface reversal
- 5+ years of experience performing detailed loads analysis for fixed-wing aircraft and/or rotorcraft
- Ability to question traditional assumptions and apply your knowledge to novel eVTOL designs and operational scenarios
- Knowledge of Aircraft Certification Processes and Standards (FAA Part 23, 25, 27 or 29)
- Excellent understanding of aircraft structures, external loads and aeroelasticity
