Job Summary

An open source software development company has a current position open for a Remote Senior Open Source Software Engineer.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Architecting, designing, and implementing blueprints for the server
  • Fixing bugs in the server
  • Communicating effectively with teammates and customers

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Ability to travel approximately once per year for meetings
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in C/C++ (3+ years)
  • Experience implementing client/server or distributed network communication systems
  • Strong understanding of SQL databases and ACID transaction processing
  • Proficiency with tools like GDB and strace; experience using Git
