Job Summary
An IT service and support company has a current position open for a Remote Senior Oracle Database Administrator.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Providing oversight, engineering review, administration, patching, security and deployment of Oracle databases to information systems
- Developing and maintaining various engineering artifacts and documents required by the Agency
- Working with development teams, system owners, support contractors and government engineers
Skills and Requirements Include:
- BS degree in Information Technology or other related technical discipline
- Oracle database or relevant certifications
- 7+ years' experience with Oracle database technologies including RAC, GRID, and Data Guard
- 2+ years' experience with the Oracle Container Databases (CDBs) and Pluggable Databases (PDBs)
- Experience monitoring and performance tuning large Oracle database environments
- Experience managing, starting and shutting down Oracle RAC environments to support upgrade, patching and maintenance
