Job Summary
A healthcare company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Senior Outpatient Coder.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Assigning diagnostic and procedural codes
- Abiding by the Standards of Ethical Coding as set forth by AHIMA
- Abstracting required clinical information from the medical record
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- 10% travel
- High school graduate or equivalent is required
- Completion of basic coding course
- AHIMA or AAPC approved credential
- Proficient in outpatient diagnosis coding guidelines
- Proficient in CPT/HCPCS code assignments
