About the opportunity

Springboard Collaborative invites talented and passionate candidates to apply for the position of Senior Director, Partnerships. This position will report to the VP of Partnerships and will be responsible for advancing the growth of the organization through partnership development in our existing regions and potential new Springboard sites. The Senior Director, Partnerships will directly manage our regional Executive Directors as they deepen existing relationships with families, schools, and funders and develop new opportunities for Springboard to reach more students in their respective regions. The Senior Director, Partnerships will also collaborate closely with our Senior Directors of Sales and Development to identify and cultivate opportunities for Springboard to expand to new markets.

What we're looking for:

Deft strategist: You support Executive Directors to map strategies to build out their regions, including identifying key partnerships and business development opportunities. You also work with our Sales and Fundraising teams to surface and vet new potential sites using rationale grounded in data, insights, and market knowledge.

-Project manager: You leverage strong project planning tools to ensure that you and your team have clear roadmaps for all open projects. You understand the details but never lose sight of the big picture.

-Strong coach of teams and individuals: You will set vision and direction for how the Executive Director team will work together, as well as provide individualized support tailored to the unique needs of the individual ED and their regional context.

Responsibilities:

-Team Leadership
Hire and manage a diverse, dynamic team of executive directors and coach them to build strong relationships across their regions
Lead the Executive Director team to meet their respective regional goals for new district partnerships, fundraising, and partner retention
Establish and nurture team norms and culture that align with organizational values
Lead weekly team meetings, weekly one-on-ones, and quarterly team retreats
Collaborate with Sr. Director of Sales and Sr. Director of Development to ensure your team has what it needs to meet their revenue goals

-Strategy
Along with the Sr. Director, Sales and Sr. Director, Development, identify our next regions for growth and develop a pathway to get there
In collaboration with regional EDs, design annual strategies to meet their goals and increase our impact in established regions
Support EDs to structure bespoke deals with districts and funders that conform to the unique constraints and opportunities in their regions
Develop and structure win-win relationships with strategic partners that position Springboard to help more children reach their reading growth goals

-External Relations
Seek to build Springboard's profile nationwide by representing Springboard at conferences, on webinars, and as a member of high leverage national collaboratives
Build relationships with multiple stakeholder groups to learn about local education ecosystems and determine how we might add value
Support team with w/introductions to districts, principals, philanthropists, foundations, and educational organizations in their regions; join meetings as needed
While this description is meant to provide a comprehensive overview of the responsibilities of the Senior Director, Regional Partnerships, we are seeking candidates who demonstrate flexibility and can adapt to evolving needs in an entrepreneurial environment.

Required skills, qualifications, and characteristics:

Minimum of a B.A./B.S. or equivalent work experience
7+ years of management experience in nonprofit, government, or educational leadership
Strong presentation skills, both orally and through writing
Proficiency in basic computer applications (Word, Excel, Google Suite) and ability to learn new systems

Desired skills, qualifications, and characteristics:
Similar experience managing regional executive directors is preferred
Teaching experience, educational sales, or fundraising-extra points for intersectionality!
Salesforce and Asana experience
Bilingual English/Spanish would be an incredible asset

Compensation
This is a full-time position. Springboard Collaborative will offer benefits and a salary within the range of $150,000-$175,000, commensurate with experience.

Location
This is a remote position that (under normal circumstances) involves approximately 20% of national travel. Springboard Collaborative's headquarters is in Philadelphia, PA. Local candidates can choose to work from our Philadelphia location.
