Job Summary
A financial technology company needs applicants for an opening for a Remote Senior Privacy Counsel.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for business and technical teams on data privacy
- Advise Product and Engineering teams on new product features and functionality
- Create and maintain key legal and compliance infrastructure such as trainings, playbooks, and policies
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- J.D. degree from an accredited institution and active membership in at least one state bar
- 5+ years of relevant experience including at least 2 years at a high-growth private company
- Ability to work cross-functionally, and play well with non-lawyers
- CIPP/US certification preferred
- Prior experience and interest in fintech, payments, checkout, digital commerce, and/or crypto
