Job Summary

A cloud-based computing software firm is seeking a Remote Senior Python Software Engineer in Kansas City.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Keeping up to date on emerging technology solutions
  • Being a core contributor to the development of new systems
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with data engineering, product management and other engineering groups

Position Requirements Include:

  • Proven experience building products in Big Data and distributed computing
  • 5+ years of hands-on, directly relevant, software development experience
  • Experience designing cloud-first solutions with AWS technologies
  • Experience working in an agile environment on enterprise products
  • College degree in Computer Science, Math, Systems Engineering or a similar technical field
  • Technically proficient in Python and the majority of: Spark/EMR, Relational Databases / SQL, Linux, Containerization
