What You'll Be Doing in the role of Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer:
At Susan G Komen, we leverage a variety of business solutions, across our organization, to facilitate day-to-day operations. These business solutions traverse many departments and business processes and range from large enterprise platforms like Azure, Salesforce, SharePoint and Blackbaud to 'home-grown' solutions, developed internally. We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer who promotes product quality, and organizational quality ownership thru well-defined measurable processes, comprehensive quality assessment and identification of risk. This candidate will work along with Quality Assurance and Software Development Engineers, Product Managers, User Experience, and Customer Support staff to understand features, bugs, customer usage, and technical implementation to deliver high quality products and world-class experience to our customers.

What You Will Bring to the Table:
Review requirements and develop feature expertise.
Create high quality and quantity of automated and manual test cases using coding conventions, best practices and problem solving.
Assist Product Managers in writing Acceptance Criteria's.
Report and track software bugs and/or unexpected software behavior.
Reproducing and documenting issues reported by other teams.
Define and execute test cases for websites, applications, and processes.
Identify flows and create automated test coverage and build our automation backlog.
Drive improvement in test coverage and test effectiveness while mentoring junior team member.
Actively share knowledge and experience through mentoring, test plan reviews, and documentation of technical and thought leadership in internal facing activities.
Participate in development testing, regression testing, release planning/preparation, release execution and production testing.
Experience designing test structures that are easily maintainable, resilient, performant, and scalable.
Proficiency in writing thorough tests that cover edge cases to find defects before they reach the production server. Identify and analyze the root cause of complex bugs in your code as well as others' code.
Implementing and maintaining the necessary standards to optimize the Komen production environments efficiently and effectively.

We Already Know You Will Also Have:
Experience with web technologies including WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and related.
Knowledge of SQL, with experience to prepare & execute SQL queries.
Able to gather information and analyze complex problems and develop testing processes to meet high quality standards.
A drive to mentor junior engineers and develop their skills.
Excellent organization, communication and documentation skills.
Logical and critical thinker and strong problem solver.
Manages own time effectively to perform the role and deliver tasks.
Strong working knowledge and understanding of key concepts in ITIL, SDLC, Dev/Ops, and cloud services.
7+ years Quality Engineering, or related engineering experience in a relevant technical discipline with understanding of engineering principles and design analysis techniques.
Minimum of Bachelors' Degree in Engineering or related - Electrical or Software area highly preferred.

Preferred experience includes:
Must be able to thrive in an ambiguous environment - where change is the only constant.
Experience decomposing User Stories into requirements and detailed user stories.
Supports projects through the entire lifecycle (SDLC) including design, development, testing, and production release.
Experience in Agile methodology as a software tester who has developed test scenarios, test cases and test scripts.
Salesforce application experience will be a plus.
Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills.
Creative thinker with a vision.
Adaptable to competing demands, organizational changes, and new responsibilities.
Ability to triage issues, react well to changes, collaborate with other test and development teams.
Must be an effective multi-tasker comfortable working on multiple products and projects
Travel requirements required outside of your home office will be less than 5%, usually for department meetings, etc.
