Job Summary

A staffing agency is seeking a Remote Senior Real Estate Loan Underwriter.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Underwriting, analyzing and reviewing all 1st & 2nd trust mortgage loan files submitted for decision
• Assessing the risk, confirming compliance with guidelines, and rendering a credit decision
• Acting as leader within the department and to help Management achieve department goals and objectives

Required Skills:

• 3 to 5 years in the area of underwriting conventional first mortgage loans and second mortgage loans
• Must demonstrate a working knowledge of FNMA/FHLMC guidelines
• Must demonstrate a working knowledge of Mortgage Insurance guidelines
• Must demonstrate the ability to conduct a detailed review of a loan file
• Effective communication via telephone, e-mail or fax
• Analytical decision-making ability with attention to detail
