Job Summary
A public university has a current position open for a Remote Senior Software Engineer.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Serving as lead engineer, supervising a team of engineers
- Leading a team of engineers in the creation and implementation of software solutions
- Working with researchers to find novel solutions to existing analytic questions, researching and incorporating new technologies
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, statistics, or related field
- 8 years’ related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead an application development project from conception through to implementation
- Experience deploying software to Linux servers
- Significant expertise in developing code in Python, Java, R, and/or other coding language
- Experience with application containerization using tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Rancher
